A native Floridian, raised in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, Linda says she always had a desire to work in Real Estate. She realized this goal, but not without a colorful journey along the way. Linda left the banking business in Florida in 1973 and moved to Arizona. She spent several years on the Navajo Lands in Black Mesa and Page, Arizona. “I also lived and worked on the Zuni, Hopi and Apache Lands. Those years were some of the most wonderful and memorable of my life; I quickly became accustomed to different cultures and made many new friends”, she recalls.
In 1980, Linda came to Vail and almost immediately decided that this was where she wanted to be forever. She obtained an Accounting job with Vail Associates. She never lost sight of her original goal of becoming a Realtor and in 1983 she switched careers from accounting and joined a brokerage firm in Vail Village. She then established herself in the local real estate community and later went to a "brand new resort" called Cordillera. Eagerly embracing the challenge, before the roads were paved and the lodge was built, she remembers riding her horse, Nacoma, from Bud Palmer’s ranch at Lake Creek, over the hill to Cordillera, several days a week to “flag” the corner boundaries of the homesites. Today, of course, Cordillera is one of the premier golf club communities in the Rockies.
In 1989, two of Linda’s wonderful Vail clients and developers asked her to go to their new development, Old Marsh Golf Club, in Palm Beach, Florida, to work with the sales team. Linda went to Florida, enjoyed being closer to her family and loved selling real estate at the new, and beautiful, Pete Dye private golf club community, but missed the Colorado mountains. A year later, she returned to the Vail Valley and then became an onsite broker at another new golf club community south of Gypsum, Cotton Ranch.
Today, Linda and husband Craig, a Wildlife Manager with the Colorado Division of Wildlife, reside in Eagle Ranch with Ozzy, the Puli and Hendrix, the cat. Linda's office is at the Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate Eagle sales office on Capitol Street. Linda's favorite leisure time activities are gardening, golfing, skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, fishing or hiking with Craig and “the kids”.
